This workshop is for those who have learned the Energization Exercises already, such as Kriya Yogis and students on Ananda’s Path of Kriya Yoga. In this webinar we will:

Paramhansa Yogananda created a unique system, which he called “energization exercises,” to help people in attaining this energy-control. His system helps to direct energy to the body and, afterward, to withdraw it again from the body in meditation. These exercises give awareness of the energy, and, by means of that awareness, the ability to manipulate its flow in the body at will.

By practicing these exercises daily, you’ll develop exceptional ability to heal your body, and even to achieve success in your outward undertakings. You’ll find it possible to attract desired opportunities, and to draw inspiration at will.

Meet your Instructor

Nayaswami Sagar resides in the Ananda Monastery located at Ananda Village in Northern California. Born into a family of kriya-yogis, Sagar read Paramhansa Yogananda’s Autobiography of a Yogi at a young age, an influence that culminated in his decision to serve Yogananda’s mission through Ananda.

Sagar led Ananda’s work in Mumbai for about five years and has served Ananda’s work in India and the US as a teacher and counselor to students and as a meditation and stress-relief workshop facilitator for corporates.

Sagar currently serves in Ananda’s Online Ministry. He is one of the principal instructors for the Ananda Course in Meditation and has helped create several such online offerings as the full-length courses The Yoga Teachings of Jesus, Karma and Reincarnation and the webinars The Anatomy of the Astral Body, Losing the Fear of Death Through the Science of Yoga, and How to Stand Unshaken amidst Life’s Challenges. Prior to commencing his life of service at Ananda, Sagar was a graduate student with full scholarship at Boston University and holds advanced degrees in Engineering.

    This is a very important class for those of us on the path. As Sagar mentioned so beautifully through analogy, The need for support is a very real thing. Though true we need proper balance with this. That is to say that if we think another is going to do it for us, thats missing the mark, if we think we are going to do it alone that to is off track. We need the support of the teachings ,the teachers, each other and at the same time we need to apply our own effort. This class is one of those supports that if applied is of tremendous benefit to us. Thank you Sagar for an insightful class.

    I’ve been doing Energization for years– on and off – and hadn’t realized how sloppy my practice had become. I particularly needed to be reminded of the importance of releasing and relaxing fully after the contractions. I’d been hurrying through them. I also appreciated being reminded of how they benefit so many systems and how important it is to do them often, daily if possible. Thank you for this refresher!

    This is a Masterclass that I will watch many times, it is so important!! … Sagar and Jitendra bring the energisation exercises alive with a deeper understanding and as always with Sagar, a great sense of joy and humour. . There are many tweaks that will not only refine my practice but correct it! I honestly thought I was pretty accurate with my EE – but there were many little areas – for example, the very first exercise I was doing incorrectly by tensing the whole body in a wave which I now know how to do correctly instead…. Sagar’s easy explanations and demonstrations, at an excellent pace, bring a new understanding, inspiration and joy to my practice. THANK YOU!!!!

    Wow! I´m so glad I signed up for this workshop.     Namaste,
    This review tonight was excellent. As I have mentioned, these Energizations have brought physical healing for me. I often do them independently when I’m feeling the need to work in a tight area. I observed how you go from tense to relax with a slight hand release. It’s a good reminder to release at that moment, but not actually a movement of itself, it just gives the transition from one to the other. As a former Hatha instructor, I understand these exercises from that prior training. What Master has done in developing these to be done in this sequence is Brillance! They maximize the entire body, & nervous system and prepare it for meditation.
    Thank all of you who have made these classes so welcoming, sharing the connection of oneness which has no distance when it’s in our hearts.

    Showing and explaining the Energization exercises improved some of the exercises I have been doing until now. During the last exercise I missed the looking at the point between the eyebrows. However, all together I enjoyed the clear explanations very much!

    This class fills a great need, which is adequate time to review the nuances of all 39 Energization Exercises. Most of us learned to energize during our first classes or sadhanas with Ananda. Adequate, but it’s easy to make the same mistakes your instructor makes.

    Just what I needed! Sagar’s demonstrations and explanations of the Energization Exercises refreshed the mind and body. Feeling the tension in the proper proportion per exercise kept me focused.     The workshop on “Refining your Energizing Exercises” was beyond my expectations. I thought I knew and was doing the exercises perfectly.

    The movements, breathing and the tensing were clearly demonstrated by Bramachari Sagar. I felt the difference while doing the exercises during the workshop.
